Venice Beach.

Starting out with a woman gazing out of the window,
soon realized that it was a creepy cut out.

Dreamcatcher. Definitely a craft I find more than beautiful.

laugh with me its ok. This was quite a sight to be seen as this little pup trotted along. HA!

Local photography.

This was amazing the entire image is created from painted dots !

Yes, you did that.

Hand crafted.

Last stop Waterfront Cafe.

That concludes my Venice Beach adventure. Nothing too CRAY CRAAAY. Just a relaxing chill day with a bunch of random ccharacters ranging from humans to dogs.

I take back my last statement.

On our ride home we were parallel to a woman ranting and raving at
what we assumed was her boyfriend.
As she crossed the main street without checking either direction,
a car sped up to beat traffic and hit her head on.
We saw her fly on top of the hood, into the windshield
as she grabbed her head and slammed into the ground.
We pulled over as others ran over and called 911.
We waited till the ambulance was arriving till we left the scene.

I must say that by far is THEE
CRAZIEST thing I have ever witnessed in my life.

ALWAYS check all directions for cars,
NO MATTER how old you are !

Love For My City.

Today I went on a solo mission around my neighborhood.
I strolled over to the Torrance Art Museum to see what I might find,
non the less I stumbled upon the most unique pieces of art
my eyes had EVER seen.
The variety of textures, patterns and ideas were inspirational.
Have to say today has been an amazingly productive day !!
Enjoy !!!  ☼ Rae

Lets start with my Favorite piece of the day by Elisabeth Higgins O'Connor.
This right here ! This sh*t right here is AMAZING.
The moment I walked in to the room my eyes were hooked.
The closer I looked I can to realize the fabric and texture.

A closer look brings it to life !

Mixed Media art by Walpa D'Mark.

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas by Joshua Podoll.

artwork by Jill Spector.

Ending this post with another great creation by Elisabeth Higgins O'Connor.

Beyond Exhaustion.

Characters form within the mind of the sleep deprived.
Images from which were unable to conjure in daily reality.

What a gorgeous day in LA !

Spent the first half of my day around town with one of my oldest
and dearest friends Miss Shannon Payne.
This girl has been keeping it real and holding me down since 4th grade.
We are more than friends, we are sisters and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Shannon and my beautiful niece Elizabeth.

Being a young single mother can be tough, but
luckily enough Shannon is a strong-willed independent woman
who is teaching her daughter that no struggle can hold her back.
The women in my life handle theirs and
know how to take charge of any situation.

MAD LOOOVE to independence.

Miss Elizabeth slurping on some soda to wash down that yummy mac N cheese.
Love this little angel that JUST turned 4 a week ago !
Man how time flys !

Later today I will have a new Daily Drawing up.
Stay Tuned !

In this recycled book is where most of the magic happens.

Japanese Fever.

Loving my job at the mesmerizing Japanese spaRelaken
is starting to reflect in my art.
As new ideas stem from my wandering mind,
I find myself falling harder for the Japanese culture.
From their words to their conscious movements the Japanese culture
steals my heart and inspires me to push forward and work hard.
This lady was created yesterday hope you like her :]
First time in a while that I actually put in a little background.
Not too shabby let me know what you think.

She ...

... seems to have lost her sense of emotional connection
between another human-being other than her closest friends and family.
Time has tainted her heart and
has enabled her from giving the love that was once her religion.
Her inner "shield" has its strengthened wall deeply rooted
and has no shame to send away others unwilling to push through the barriers.
If those are not up to a challenge, then those do not deserve an ounce of affection.

Plain and Simple.
Since when was anything free in this world ?

She has forgotten what it feels to love a man.
Or maybe it is because she has yet to meet one.
Priorities straight,  humorous,  positive and driven.
Really ... is it too much for a young woman to want a reliable companion
to share new experiences with and truly trust him with her heart.
As the days continue new aquaintences come to pass ....

... She is looking for that Sunday kinda love.

See No Evil.

Over the past few days I've had many thoughts infesting my mind.
My bodys natural reaction, when taking a step back from
reality, is to focus on elaborate detail. In the heat of the moment ,
I am able to pause all sense of responsibility
and lose myself in a trance to ease my mind into a relaxed state.
All I truly need in life is my pen, a blackbook, adventures, good food and shelter.
Thats not too much to ask for.

See No Evil - Rae Kiaha
This creation was completed the morning of 9/8 &
is the newest addition to my blackbook family.
Enjoy.

Color MONSTER.

Pattern FREAK.
Continuous life within the fabric, whats not to love.
I'm mind blown thanks to Joanns Fabric.

Beautiful pearly shimmer. Now all I need to do is learn how to use them.

Finding inspiration from daily exploration
leaves your mind to wander amongst the wildest imagination.

Birthday Adventures.

Please forgive me young creative minds on the lack of posts.
I have been scatter brained and running around life's obstacles.
Damn life and those challenging curve balls,
but here I am alive, well and at the ripe age of 22 !
Tuesday was my birthday and my world couldn't be anymore satisfying.
I spent the day with Miss Angel.

We strolled through the streets of Culver City and Melrose.
I was able to meet two amazing artists Dabs&Myla while they prepare
for thier "Tokyo Deluxe" show at Think Space gallery.

Had a scrumptious lunch at La Dijonaise! YUM.

Tea Forest Cafe screamed our names from the moment we laid eyes on it.
I am a TRUE COFFEE ENTHUSIAST
that jumps at any chance to try a beautifully hand crafted beverage !
And Tuesday this little lady was by my side to enjoy the delicious goodness.

Just a dose of perfection to go.

Glanced inside a local gallery to see the creations by Eric Joyner

All in all my birthday was nothing less than perfect.
Nothing too extreme or fancy just some good explorations and genuine people.

Take care of yourselves and keep positive.
Good things come to those who work hard for it.
Life is too short to wait for handouts.
Take action and live life to the fullest !

More of my personal art work will be up shortly.
